@treefittymonsta i am testing the voice chat
my group mate in game has a slash threw their icon when they attempt speak? why can't i hear them?
I dont often use a mic when I am on console so for once I am actually...unsure... lol! Usually, since I play on both (much more on PC) I can help with better answers. I can say this... you should have to actually change from party to in game chat. On Console that is a ridiculous factor, but you can't simulcast whereas on PC it's a PTT button.

Sea of Thieves isn't even on the app privacy portion of privacy and security. lol so how can i enable the microphone for it. The only things on the app list is Microsoft Edge and a windows icon.
@treefittymonsta you know that on xbox you can only be in party or in game chat. You can't do both. Make sure you aren't in a party of 1.

We figured it out. If u start the game with mic plugged into the controller it doesn't work. But if if plug in after you're in game it works...
Yah we figured out also that if ur in party chat. U can't speak in game lol.
The Xbox app is garbage. I wish Microsoft could fix it. It's a buggy mess on Xbox and especially PC.

You also can't leave party chat to enter game chat. Which is really annoying if you're added to a party that later leaves the game.
