For those of us on the seas who enjoy gaming events, remember to be aware of your surroundings!
Tragic loss of life at a gaming tournament. Although I don't want this to turn into a gun/policy debate, I would like members to always be aware of their surroundings and have a plan. It's truly saddening. The more popular events become, the more at risk gamers are...little do they know, all you have to do is switch gears; from an event patron to a gamer who's attention to detail knows no bounds. We all know that just a fraction of a second can mean win/lose; the same is true for life/death scenarios...keep your heads on a swivel, be aware, have a plan.
If you have friends or family who YOU think is capable of causing these occurrences, I urge you to act and involve yourself 100% into their care/treatment for their well-being and those around you. When helping others, ensure YOU are safe, a testament to Chris Kyle; work with groups and professionals if need be.
My condolences to the families and loved ones.
