Dropping chest down the cliff or hill / Water etc.

    Ahoi mates!

    don't know if this is the right category but didn't know where tho post it else.

    So yesterday i was on a solo sloop and wanted to do some Gold hoarders because I'm near to 50 (GH:46/ Merchant: 50/ OOS: 50). I had a rough start at smugglers bay (couldn't find the treasure seeker) after a while i canceld the voyage and started a new one. I straight went to old faithful and when I was there i dug up my chest and even found another captain on the island.
    So i grabbed the chest and swam to my boat but on my way a skeleton with sniper killed me and I dropped the chest. after I came back from the ferry i couldn't find the chest anymore. (almost drowned searching for it).
    after solid 10 minutes of searching I accepted my faith and wanted to go collect the other chest (marauders i think). picked it up, dropped it down the hill (skeletons on the way again) and went down to pick it up again but it was stuck mid the fall on the surface not something I could stand on or else I tried to pick it up mid-drop but was unable to do so. After another 15 - 20 minutes i just gave up and went to the beach where my boat was when I saw something glowing. It was a skull and I thought to myself: at least something worth to go to an outpost. but i couldn't pick it up. So eventually I got frustrated and log off with one and a half hour playing for nothing.

    could you make the chest slide down the hill if something like that happens? Im sure not the only one to who happens this.

    (I know the skull thing is planned to be fixed)

    That happened to me a lot of times. They should do something.

    They should add a throwing animation for items, you simply can't throw stuff out of the ship, you have to drop it which feels and looks stupid, the prop just teleports down to the water.

    So, basically adding physics to loot props.

    @chrismaster2012 when this happens to me i ether sword lung or fire myself from a cannon towards the loot and then press a hold X. I normally takes a few tries to get it just right.

    Totally agree. Even if it's just like a foot in front of you (for heavy items). The game really needs this.

    I tried this and dropping myself from the edge while holding X for a while but turns out I'm not skilled enough

    Did you try canoning yourself to the item and bouncing on the wall, gives you a slight bit more time to grab something.

    Not yet but i will try the next time. Thanks for the hint!
