Key-binds (mainly for Store All/Take All)

    I play on console (Xbox) and soon PC, but with the new Store All/Take All options in the new Inventory System, it feels a bit awkward. Maybe have some key-bind options for this?

    I'd like to swap mine for Y to Store All/Take All and A to Store One/Take One. It feels awkward for me in the current state, and not the type of awkward that I'm too comfortable getting used to.

    • (That being said, even a swap option for this would be good enough for most of us)

    Also maybe allow us to use the T (chat) function on Xbox? We have functionality for an on-screen keyboard that also allows us to type in any language just fine with chat-pads and actual keyboards if desired, shouldn't be hard to just run with that until the developers can support more, though if we had either of these it would be better to not see the on-screen keyboard and just type away when the developers have time to add that support (if possible).

    I've also noticed a couple weeks ago that I can use 0-9 hot-keys, Escape, Tab, and Spacebar. No WASD or T or Q/E/X/etc though, and no mouse input. Which is still nice, easier to get to some of my Equipment quickly...

    However, I run into many situations where if I cannot type in-game and they have to use the Xbox App to communicate with me properly, almost nobody is willing to do that as it's a bit much, and they end up getting upset and killing me just for not being able to do that alone.

    I was really hoping they would make it so you could take all from a barrel without opening it. It does not sound like that happened. Is it any better at all ?

    @trickrtreat01 That is also true, I wish they would just make it so you can press Y over the Barrel alone to perform Take All on Island-bound Barrels and Store All on Ship-bound Barrels. But yes, it is definitely a major improvement... I can stock the Ship much much faster (not sure if that'd be the best fix, but still an improvement of sorts none-the-less).

    However the game is skipping frames quite a bit right now after the update, which I have never experienced on console yet until now.

    @mizz-amelie So how does it work now? You still have to open the UI and then can press one button for take all ? Instead of multiple clicks like before ?

    Correct me if I am wrong, you hit a button to open, hit a button to take all, hit a button to close?

    @trickrtreat01 Currently you open it, press A to Take All if you are in the Barrel Invenory, or if you switch to the Character Inventory tab you press A there to Store All, or in the same way, press Y to Store/Take 1 at a time.

    @mizz-amelie So now, in theory, taking 10 cannonballs takes 3 clicks and not 10....

    All the UI animations have been sped up too so it feels less cumbersome too!

    Sounds like it still isn't close to where it needs to be.

    @musicmee Pretty much what this person said, as well as it is much easier to identify that you cannot take more of whichever item(s), it displays that much better now as well (my eye sight is trash, especially when it comes to differentiating colors with slight shade changes).
