How long does pirate ship loot float?

    Experienced something new tonight.

    Sunk the pirate captain ship (doing the ship cloud) in Devil's Roar.... (yeap call me crazy already for even trying) when a volcano erupted and and killed all 3 of us at once with one rock.

    We spawned 2 islands away - drove back and there was ZERO loot to be found. We finished off the final boat - volcano erupted again - sunk us all again. We did an entire skeleton event and got nothing for it.

    MAIN question is - If you get sunk does all the loot that's floating despawn? It just vanished!

    Second point is - I'll never return to devil's roar again - what a waste of map space.

    If floating in the water normal loot has a timer of about 3 minutes and skeleton loot is about 5 minutes (at least it was in CS)

    ive heard its 3-15 mins i think. i may be getting this mixed up with the reset times of the skeleton forts but im pretty sure its in that region

    5 Mins for loot to sink from what I have found out but will last longer if on land.

    The devils roar isn't wasted map space if you get you and your crew through that region then don't go there and it's a double risk double reward region

    I'm pretty sure it floats until right before I get back to it.
