Streamers have always been placed on a pedestal by themselves and by their fans. At the same time, every streamer I have ever known has had to deal with sniping in online games. The request to a game company that it somehow be dealt with is just asinine to me.
If someone is streaming and I see them PvPing on stream I can, literally in a minute, create a Twitch account with a name similar to theirs and start being obnoxious in their chat. That would lead to a report from them to Rare/Microsoft about it, and in turn would lead to a totally innocent person being reported for "stream sniping".
I get it, sniping exists. I played Rust with a pretty big streamer at one time, and we CONSTANTLY were defending ourselves against stream snipers. The thing is, we expected it...we dealt with it. If you are good at the game it adds to the challenge. Since every streamer seems to believe they are game-gods/goddesses you would think they could handle it just fine, or if they were bested just change servers and move on if need be. How can you blame someone else for literally broadcasting your position to the world when someone uses that to approach you?
I did not clip this, but this is a prime example of what I am talking about: https://clips.twitch.tv/BetterBlatantBatteryDuDudu

** Oops, did not notice the swearing because I tuned out all of the extra chatter when I found that. Sorry! **
You are not better than anyone else. You are broadcasting your position to everyone in the world. Do not be surprised when someone comes at you after learning where you are. I implore you to choose wisely.
Take that for what it is worth... get angry if you want... but at some point let the common-sense takeover. Change servers, or deal with the snipers.
