Best wishes to all of a good year, this last update was really fantastic, but the things that I did not like are two:
The first, inserting a challenge to find the megalodon shrouded ghost with the very low possibility of spawn is a problem for those like me who has always completed all the challenges and despite our hours of play which are not very few really boring.
The second, I like other friends of mine are level 10 of athena for a long time and having to redo all the legendary missions and the distance traveled etc was not at all fair to us especially because you can not unlock the skin.
That said, I hope the rare team solves this problem with the rare megalodon, as in a 13 to 17 hour game session it has never happened that spawn

if you were just given the cosmetics that you earn from legendary commendations, what would you do then? Quit? Because you had finished the game?
@lupoassass1n I like the Shrouded Ghost being as rare as it is. It's like a legend or myth of the Sea of Thieves. It's equivalent to the Loch Ness monster; some claim to have seen it, we have SOME pictures of it, but are the reeeeeal? (For the record I know the pictures are real and I know people have seen and slain the beast). Imagine the surge of excitement you'll feel when you actually do encounter it.
That's the problem isn't it? If all the new commendations popped because you already reached that milestone beforehand then you will never have anything to work towards. It would be impossible for Rare to move the goal posts so that everyone can earn them equally.
Yea shouldn't be as rare as it is judging by the'a amount of shroud there is in this game.
I rarely see shroud and whenever i do i go straight into but then im getting other megs and even krakens 🤣

I agree and do not agree.
Its true, getting the commendations popped because we reached it doesn't make sense.
On the other hand, I think rare can do better job in giving us goals to grind that are not the same as the ones we already did for me it was a grind felt complete and now I feel it throw me back to the a thing I didnt think I will have to do again unless I really miss it or want to help others.
For example , sinking skeli ships - thats ok. The grind for that in the past was not that bad so we should be ok with doing it some more. (maybe should lower the number if its really 500). I think that if you tie a cosmetic to something , tie it to something that is more interesting for a A10.
I can recommend rare to tie an alternate goal that can unlock the new cosmetics. maybe 300 megs or 100 krakens.@surveyorpete
No, absolutely not, I like the game and I play it in company with my friends because it's right, but blocking skin does not seem to make much sense. However, in the game there are not only legendary missions so if they had inserted these goals before it would have been better. And honestly it was not even good that they reduced microsoft's goals@karloss00 It is not about facilitating the objectives, I say that they had to take into account those who had already made the legend without using dobblons to buy levels, and had to take into account those who arrived at A10 without even the souls and so on. And for example the rare face the rare devil roar box with 0.01% of spawn is fine for me, but if you make a goal in the game and there is no spawn of the megalodon even for 16 hours is extreme and sincerely I would not have made a goal with doubloons
I am very happy with the current rarity of the Shrouded Ghost. If the spawn rate is left alone then I will be as excited about killing it (if I ever do) as I was about reaching PL. I am also certain Rare will increase the spawn rate of it based on player feedback. I wish they wouldn’t change it, but they do listen to feedback.

I been playing 20 hr days almost every day since the new update and am done almost all my commendations.. shrouded one is the only one I need on BR tab .. my main complaint is how unbalanced the new ship skins are .. (anchor) sail 1000 on a voyage ,, im at 700 . (cannon) kill 500 skellie ships im at 120 , (wheel) turn in 30 chests of legends ? why such a low number should it not just correspond with the miles a little bit .. I was done 30 chests with like 300 miles done or something super low like that what gives?
@citizenjp1 It has been proven to spawn outside the shroud. It can likely spawn in or outside of the shroud, seeing as it has been recorded outside of it, meaning that it does not require one to be in the shroud.
Now, the real issue though: It is incredibly rare, and there is a commendation that is required to kill at least 5. That will likely never be completed, ever, given the abysmally low spawn rate.

But 50 with this spawrate, that’s impossible! Look at the Doubloons the Shrouded one is more worth than the other 4!
I'd consider that not everything is meant to be completed by everyone... that's the thing that makes it rare and special.
I like that the Shrouded Ghost is like this... only some pirates can tell the tale of facing off with her. That makes it much more interesting, and honestly playing this game like a "checklist" is the wrong way to go about it, IMO.
That's really one of the only pieces of feedback for Rare - please go easy on the artificial goals.
Personal opinion on Rare’s handling of commendations... I think there’s room for a lot of improvement. I would even suggest a change in the formula.
I love commendations. Equally as such, I love completion. I’m 3 levels from PL so I don’t know what the PL commendations are yet, but I see a lot of complaints here. From what I can gather, there’s just too much grinding involved; such as the 500 ships mentioned above and the multiple ghosts despite its rarity.
I totally agree with the poster above, things like 100 krakens and 300 megs seems like a much more attractive number. Rare recently had to rebalance achievements and such for the same sort of reason.
They could do with creating endgame commendations that are more unique IMO. Though, no doubt that will come in due course. Now, as for the ghost...
I LOVE its rarity. There needs to be more things like this in the game. Elusive and mystical creatures. However, I personally wouldn’t tie them to commendations unless it was a one and done deal. See it once, complete. 50 ghosts (if that’s what it is) is just silly given it’s rarity. Plus, a ghost variation of the meg figurehead to better show off your accolade.

Guys it popped just like every other Meg. We were in bright blue water, middle of the day, didn’t even realize for the first few seconds what we had. It’s real guys!and it does like every other meg, nothing weird or mythical....
