My ultimate goal in this game is to find and kill the shrouded ghost in the thickest part of the fog to maximize the experience that I beleive it should bring. I'm still hunting but recently I learned something and it worries me. Me and my brother were hunting the white shark in the thick of the fog and a shadowmaw came up on us. I heard him and then I saw him come up, but once he started swimming circles around us, I couldn't see him, not even close, not until he was lunging and had gotten 10 feet from our ship. I killed him through sound queues alone, but now I'm forced to wonder, is finding the shrouded ghost in the deep fog even possible? I've heard from several people that apparently the shrouded ghost makes no noise, or very little noise, and that he doesn't attack until he's attacked, meaning you actually have to notice and then engage to deal with him. I've also heard that if you're in the fog, he'll swim around you on the border of what you can physically see. But I couldn't see the shadowmaw, and that's black on white, meaning if I can't see him, and I can't hear him, can I even find him out here? I've spent upwards of probably 10 hours in the fog cumulatively since I actively hunt him, and now I'm worried that if all these things are true, what if I've encountered him and I never knew cause I couldn't hear or see him? I hope that's not the case cause I've dedicated so much time to this I want that title so bad, but I also specifically want to find him in the fog.
The Shrouded Ghost and fighting sharks in the fog
@wraith-04 never heard such things as the Shrouded Ghost beeing more silent or even act differently than any other meg in this game.
So if you were able to fight Shadowmaw in the fog, than Shrouded would be the same experience there gameplay wise.@aclassali Is it true that the shrouded ghost makes less noise or is he literally just a reskin of the other sharks?
