60fps xbox one x

  • Is there comming a 60fps option on the Xb1? Its annoying bcs i dont even have a 4k tv to play on so i am just stuck with 1080 with 30 fps, i cant use keyboard and mouse with such low framerates, and also the pvp is also harder especially when playing against pc players i have no chance at all, no only bcs its easier to pvp on pc but they got their fancy high fos gameplay.

So please Rare add a 60fps 1080 option, we rather have high framerates than high graphics.

  • @empo04 I'm on a 4k tv and would love the option to choose performance vs visuals. it would make choosing higher fps for pvp moments awesome.

  • I don't see why this isn't an option yet. I play on PC but I was shocked when one of my buds said the Xbox One X has a 4K 30FPS option but no 1080P 60FPS mode.

Reality is though you will still probably take a big visual hit in order to hit 60 FPS consistently, it's really down to the constraints of an integrated graphics CPU.

So what is currently equivalent on Xbox One X to somewhere around the "Rare" setting for most graphics options on PC, will probably have to be lowered to "Common" or even "Cursed" to hit a 60FPS target.

But, even at that, I still think the choice should be there for players if it's possible at all.

As a sobering thought: I have an RTX 2070 Super and Ryzen 1700X and I'm still heavily CPU bound on some islands in the game when trying to run at 1080P 60FPS (couch PC gaming), so I wouldn't expect miracles.

  • @realstyli really a super2070 and 1700x?
I was going to upgrade mi nvidia 1060 3gb but I played at 1080p ultra 60 FPS except on plunder, thieves haven and smugglers bay. So I see is the game fault no my hardware.

Admittedly, the 1700x is the weak point in my set up, I do find it struggles with a few games currently because a lot of games don't multithread correctly and single-core performance on older Ryzens isn't strong.

But that's the price I pay for "future proofing" my build. I could probably upgrade to a 2700X or 3700X but that's not for another year at least.

I upgraded my GPU from a GTX1060 6GB to the RTX 2070 Super. It's still a huge improvement over that - I can run at all mythical settings and get a mostly solid 60FPS (I could go above but I am using Vsync and playing on a TV)- just the 1700X CPU struggles on some islands. Namely, the ones you mentioned - Plunder Valley and Thieves' Haven.
