Dubloon cost

    I am a casual SOT player. These new "monthly updates" cost doubloons per voyage. I work overnights and usually play SOT when i get off of work. Unfortunately for me the quests cost 5 doubloons and today i fell asleep while playing and now I have none, leaving me with the inability to participate in the monthly event.

    As a player since SOT beta, please consdier removing the doubloon cost, or making a 3 level option. A gold quest that gives you 5 doubloons, a 5 doubloon quest that gives you 10 etc.

    So now what do i do? I guess ill just go f myself for the next month or pray that i can capture a reapers chest.

    I have found the reaper chests with little to no problems from other players. You simply have to be fast enough to get to the chest and turn it in the second you grab it. Forget everything else in the shipwreck.

    Option 2 would be join a group who is doing the new dark relics voyages. Just click on the Sea of Thieves game icon and go to official club and then click looking for group. You can find people doing all sorts of voyages or events

    I lost track of how many reapers chests I got yesterday. Between the chests and the event voyages, I went from 990 doubloons to nearing 1300.

    Also, are you a solo player that sticks to the sloop? Consider solo brig. Some of the spawns are way out (past the ship fight areas sometimes) and you'll appreciate the brigs speed for more reasons than just that. Just keep an eye on any ships on the horizon.

    Have you completed every single commendations awarding you doubloons ?
    If not, do this.
    Then Reaper's chests.

    There is a huge list of past commendations that will give u dabloons. Most can be gotten by accident though normal play.

    The cost of 5 dabloons is such a low entry fee. And finishing even one voyage you buy usually gives you more dabloons than you spend.

    Its not anyones fault but your that you dont have enough. We all work or go to school. You cant blame Rare for this issue. The game has to reward the more dedicated players

    @lavastew99 what is your timezone ? We might be able to figure something out, i have 1400 doubloons and rising i think i can spare a couple of voyages worth ;-)

    @nwo-azcrack yes, but a lot of them are hard and i used most of them to buy legendary. The ones i have left will take some time to complete.

    @lavastew99 just got off the game. Found 2 reapers chest on one server. Made 15+10+15 Ds.

    @lavastew99 You can now earn dubloons from reapers chests... No, you dont rely on commendations, even if you have earned all the commendations, i do believe you earn about 10 or 15 dubloons per reapers chest... You can still participate in the event, bro... Chillax. :)

    They added the reaper chest for a reason. Just get one of them and sell, sure you might get chased down a few times but they are extremely common so you shouldn't struggle to get atleast a few a day.

    I recommend using Discord or LFG to get a crew going, a bunch of people are doing the event right now on the Official & Community Discord.
