@capitaine-greed said in Why create cosmetics for 0,001% of players:
By the way i feel the same for curse of gold, the cosmetic you earn when you do FIVEEEEE times every tales and you find every books. I feel like finding every books would have been enough, i don't think that even 1% of players did that. It's a great cosmetic and it should be rare, but not that rare... I mean i'm not sure that 50% of players actually did every tales (I didn't yet), so asking for five times is really unnecessary.
It's always 100th of hours spent for a cheap reward. And i don't think they can change it now because it would be a lack of respect for the people who already earned it...

btw... i believe only 2% of the total SoT population, are active players, so that's approx... 7,5% of the ACTIVE playerbase has the gold curse. Oh and the number continually rises over time. ;)
It IS the prestige reward of the tall tales though... You get a lot of cosmetics for doing tall tales. Nobody said it was designed so everyone would have it, nor that everyone SHOULD have it, but speaking as a player that actually has it, it took me less than a week of effort to get, and i wasn't going hardcore, i played in 3 hour intervals over the course of around 5 days or so, taking breaks to watch series and do IRL things.
First time doing a tall tale takes an hour, sometimes more... Any subsequent run of the same tale, takes way less time, because you know the steps better, and can in some cases, even skip certain steps entirely.
It seems like a lot, but it's not, it really isn't. :O
Just do it, stop complaining and just do it, you will find it's not as excessive in practice as it looks on paper. ;)
