Every tall tale has a commendation that requires clearing that TT several times, which is mandatory to unlock 100% to get the actual reward, which gets stale INCREDIBLY fast, especially with some TT not being that engaging to begin with. (wild cough cough rose)
It's like it's a decision made not from the game design perspective but purely out of spite.
The game is grindy as heck, so this might be in line with other stuff in it like "bring 30 chests of fortune", which would mean... repeating the same thing 30 times? But they aren't comparable at all because there are several ways to get any treasure. Which includes stealing or plundering it from others too. And even clearing the same structure can be done in a few different ways.
Meanwhile most TT have only one path you can take with the only deviation that can happen is them suddenly getting bugged, blocking you from progressing in this session.
The only TT where I can somehow come to terms with doing it several times is the heart of fire. Because there are 3 paths. Even if you simply wanted to get all journals you'd need to step into each of them, making that commendation more organic.
Even story/lore loaded voyages like the legend of the sunken kingdom feel like a spit in the face. This one is not a TT but it does feel like one. You just finished crawling all over those shrines to unlock the quest, and now you have to do it AGAIN but 3 longest ones in one sitting plus the sequence is set up in such a way that you'd spend as much time swimming from one corner of the map to another as possible.
Just WHY? What is the benefit?
Not even mentioning how cynical you get about cutscenes. Even if it came off as interesting or touching the first time, seeing it 4 times you can't help but dislike every single NPC involved and mock everything that is happening. AND YOU'D STILL HAVE ONE MORE TO GO.
It's like the entire point is to get players as jaded as possible.
