[SUGGESTION] - E-Commerce improvements

  • The current Sea of Thieves products/merchandise is a bit all over the place.
If you buy a book it is a couple of different sites.
If you buy a board game its also a few others.
If you buy clothes/plushies/coins or other limited editions items, you have even more stores to visit.

The User needs to register at all these different sites, and the selection even varies.
F.ex, you can buy a Hoodie at one site, but not at the other...

    [PROPOSAL]
Rare needs to take ownership of all their own Merchs and set up a storefront preferably integrated through Pirate Emporium (available through main page and in-game), where purchases are then redirected to the correct affiliate that handles the order.
This would help boost sales, and align promotional effort not just towards digital artefacts but also physical products and opening up for using dubloon's on physical products.
You could also integrate this with f.ex Ancient Skeleton that drops doubloons, and if he is wearing a hoodie it could f.ex give the user a 15% off for purchasing a hoodie within a week, or maybe he is running away with a board game under his arm etc.

If you want me as a project manager for this, Im available for hire :D

    Cheers from Norway!

Ive never had to register to these other sites to Compare prices.

  • @burnbacon Then I presume you have not bought several different items like collectibles, books, clothing and boardgames, your just browsing, nothing wrong in that :)

  • @admiral-oom

I have bought stuff. I simply look before I leap. Compare prices and buy the cheap ones. But sometimes, the cheap ones are bad and fakes.

If you buy a book it is a couple of different sites

It is. Sometimes that same book might be still wrapped, used or signed. Depending.
    Ebay?

If you buy clothes/plushies/coins or other limited editions items, you have even more stores to visit.

Some fans create there own Merch and sell them. Heck some of those items are better than what Rare could ever make. Etsy, people make the skulls and they light up. Coins? Oh yeah better looking at cheaper.

Rare needs to take ownership of all their own Merchs

They sorta do, but you can't stop fan creations.
