Guilty as charged hehehe..
Cannon Rowboats need banned from HG
Cannon rowboats on the back of a sloop while the two ships are rotating each other creates an unfair advantage for the rowboat team
Then..you get yourself a rowboat with a cannon?
It creates an unfair matchup between the two boats
Ooh my poor child....just wait until you meet players who only Defend and use islands/Forts with those extra Kegs and Tower cannons....you think its unfair? If they can do it, so can you.
Besides, it Open World.
I can’t see a reason why rowboats shouldn’t just fall off the back of the boat when diving to fight.
As said, what of Defenders? They dont dive.

That would be me and my crew, we use all those things and it works well. Great for tactics.
Couple hits on a cannon row boat on the back of the ship and it falls off.
Personally, I think it’s fine how it is. It’s pretty uncommon (at least in my 164 Levels of Hourglass experiences) to find, and it doesn’t make too much of a difference if you’re keeping relatively decent pressure on the enemy ship anyway. They might open with a stronger broadside, but by the time they’re taking on a good bit of water, they can’t get nearly as much use of it as they probably would like to. Worst comes to worst, have one of your crew sail away to reset like any bad broadside while you board and detach/blunderbomb it. It is a fair bit harder to keep a Rowboat repaired in a decently challenging fight than the ship itself, after all.
@hiradc or just shoot it and sink the rowy. They're really hard to use, don't provide a massive advantage, and aren't super common
Remove the rowboats, the cursed cannonballs, the incendiary cannonballs... you name it...
Seriously, stop for 2 minutes.
If you're sailing as a captain's ship, all you have to do is find a rowboat, place it and keep it for your next sessions...
One day, players who try their hand at hourglasses will have to realize that, in terms of naval combat, there's something called strategy. Sea of Thieves offers us plenty of tools for this, so use them and please stop complaining.......or becoming buyable in outposts making it more common in HG
This is the best solution.
I remember (years ago?) seeing a thread that had some pretty fair prices for each type of rowboat. Rare should make a separate "rowboat" tab at the shipwright and sell them all, with cannon ones being the most expensive.
If you want one, invest the gold. If you don't, then don't. If you'd rather find them, invest the time.
