My crew has only brigged one random person so far, and that was because we had just finished a fort and were wary of strangers. That being said I was more than willing to share the gold with him - just didn't want to risk trolling. I'm sure he didn't mind getting 12000 gold in 3 minutes then being let out of the brig XD

@danqrl i do the same, if they ask me nicely to leave for a friend then sure no problem, if you brig me then shout abuse at me for no reason i just stay in there play my switch and move to stop being kicked for inactivity. and collect a payday, out of the 5 times i have been brigged only 1 group asked me to leave for a friend, and i could easily see they had just hit a fort as they had about 20+ chests on board that i could see, i could have been nasty and went no i will stay here since there is no way they would miss out on the chests and leave the game but as they asked nicely i left, i got a a nice message from them thanking me about 30 min later :)
