Cutlass and gun vs gun and gun

  • I've seen people use the blunderbuss cutlass combo for fast clearing and swift killing on ships, but I've also seen pistol blunderbuss comboes. Wondering which ones you guys think are the best?

  • hand held cannon and gunpowder barrel :)

seriously though, for skellies, CP, for boarding, CB

  • Highly situational.

If I am boarding a vessel, then sword and blunderbuss. But if you are good at aiming, a pistol I believe will do a one-hit-kill with a head shot. I have been killed that way a few times.

But regardless, you will always want to have a sword on you. Sometimes reloading just takes too long and an extended shootout could leave you vulnerable without a way to resupply quickly.

There are no head shot multipliers

  • @dryestnickel815 Wow really? I don't know how to explain how that player was killing me in one shot then.

  • @dryestnickel815

Are you sure? I know at least with skeletons there seems to be. When I body shot them it takes two shots, when I head shot them it takes one.

Your making me doubt myself 😂

As i recall, in an attempt at balancing the cross platform title Rare disables head shot multipliers to balance out the peripheral imbalance (easier to land head shot on pc for example)

  • If I am boarding them I like to run shotty/sword if I'm on my boat I like a pistol/sword. The shotty is good on theirs because it let's you one tap people from behind when they are preoccupied with cannons/anchor/wheel/repairs. The reason for the pistol while defending boat is that you can do damage at range which is a must have for guys rushing w/ gunpowder.
