I would love to role play and parley and whatever else in this game. When I'm playing on PC, the ability to use Prox chat ratchets up the fun so much. When I'm on Xbox, we have to choose between open mics or party chat, which really isn't a choice at all.
While the canned dialogue wheels are good, aside from Ahoy, pretty much everything else is meant for in-crew communication. Last night as I was being sniped at from the bow of a Galleon, I had to let go of the wheel, run down to the cannon in order to taunt him with "missed!"
We have 3 un-used buttons. If Discord can work with PTT Prox, there's no reason Party Chat can't also (sorry but in-game chat is severely lacking in quality).
Give us two options: PTT Press and hold and PTT Toggle. The toggle option keeps Prox chat open until you press the button again.
