New Cursed Chest in the Hungering Deep?

    Gents...is it possible that Rare would also add a new cursed chest to the Hungering Deep. I could see them having time to add atleast one other variation of one.

    If so, whats the chances this chest will call Megladon or just a big number of sharks to our ships as a curse?

    Me and a buddy are itching to see more cursed chests other than grog and sorrow. Hopefully, Rare will give us over 1,000 gold for them as well instead of the 800-900 we get currently. Cursed chest should definitely be worth more if I can fetch over 1,600 gold coins for a crate of rare spices.

    Also, Rare...please...please...please...buff the blunderbuss just a hair. It got nerfed so bad that it’s not the best weapon of choice. Thank you fellas an keep up the good work.

    I’d imagine it’s possible. Anything is as we don’t know the content of this patch (what I love about this game right now as I hated knowing content completely in other games before launch).

    There is vague hints of some of the things coming but nothing concrete. I think the video might pop tomorrow on with the Devs talking about some of the stuff.

    Since the Blunderbuss nerf It made me change the the pistol, And I do so much better with it then I did the blunderbuss. I can kill them at a range now and that is an infallible choice now.

    Blunderbus is perfect, one hit if you know how to use it more if you dont.

    I think a cursed chest that attracts sharks would be pretty cool.

    It seems that sharks are already attracted/spawn where ships sink so maybe it's not too much to add in the code. Maybe make the water around the chest red too. Would be awesome to look in the water and just see like 8 sharks circling your ship.

    "Chest of the Red Seas" as I think "Chest of Blood" may be too dark for RARE and Microsoft.

    or could just keep it in line with the new content and call it "Chest of Hunger"

    Absolutely agree! Would add a little bit of dynamic to the OoS.

    Really hoping the Megaladon actually has a reward, unlike the Kraken, and if it's a cursed chest that attracts sharks that's even better!

    Its been shown in the Artbook, and its purpose explained in the Tales from Sea of Thieves book! (It summons the kraken!)
