The days are already pretty long, a day in the game is 24 minutes from 00:00 until 23:59. So I dont see any reason to make the days longer. Nights are way more fun tho

Agreed. I would suggest taking some minutes from the day and adding it to dusk and dawn. Hence the full 24 hours would be the same but less of it would be day and more of it would be dawn and dusk (and night)...
