Flameheart’s Fiery Trick or Treat!

  • One spooky Halloween night, the Pirate Lord decided to play a little trick on Flameheart. Disguised as a skeleton lord, he knocked on Flameheart’s eerie, fog-covered fortress door and bellowed, “Trick or treat!”

Flameheart, not one to enjoy surprises, opened the door with a scowl. “Pirate Lord, I see through your silly disguise! You cannot fool me.”

The Pirate Lord chuckled and held out a bag. "Come on, Flameheart! Just one night a year, loosen up a bit! Trick or treat!"

Flameheart narrowed his eyes, took a dramatic pause, and then, with a mischievous smirk, dropped a firebomb in the Pirate Lord’s bag. "Here’s your treat. Enjoy the heat!"

With a sigh, the Pirate Lord muttered, “Next year, I’m bringing water buckets…” as he walked away, bag smoldering, while Flameheart's laughter echoed through the night.

One Halloween night, Flameheart challenged the Pirate Lord to a contest. "Let’s see who can scare the most pirates tonight!" he declared, laughing wickedly.

The Pirate Lord smirked, “I’m game, Flameheart. But let’s make it interesting—whoever loses has to wear a pink dress for a week!”

Flameheart, confident as ever, agreed. They spent the night lurking in the shadows, jumping out at unsuspecting pirates. Flameheart roared and summoned ghost ships, while the Pirate Lord used spooky illusions and booming shouts of “BOO!” echoing over the waves.

At the end of the night, the Pirate Lord grinned. "Looks like I scared more pirates than you, Flameheart! You know what that means."

Reluctantly, Flameheart returned the next night in a flowing pink dress, much to the Pirate Lord's delight.

“You look quite… regal,” the Pirate Lord chuckled.

“Not one word, or you’ll be the next ghost ship I summon!” snapped Flameheart, but his attempts to look menacing in pink only made the whole outpost burst into laughter.

  • Unsolicited constructive feedback.

The pink dress thing stands out in a distracting way.

    • dude wears pink dress, everyone laughs- just ain't the SoT vibe and takes away from your otherwise fine story.

Flameheart is a grumpy mcgrumperton and would proudly talk smack in a pink dress but he would never want to wear athena attire or merchandise.

The Pirate Lord is a part of the honor crew. No honor in that sort of thing.

  • Thank you for the constructive feedback, WolfManbush! I get where you're coming from with the concern about the pink dress—it’s definitely a bit of a departure from the typical Sea of Thieves vibe. However, the intention was to add a playful side to Flameheart for Halloween, where the characters get a chance to embrace some humorous rivalries. The idea of the dress was meant to be a lighthearted, one-off joke that lets players see these characters have some fun, without taking away from their usual fierce reputations.

For those who enjoy a bit of humor in the game, the image of Flameheart in something so uncharacteristic could add a memorable moment that stands out. But if the idea of a dress doesn’t feel right to you, maybe a twist where the "loser" has to do something equally unexpected, like giving a spooky storytelling session or guiding new pirates for a night, could keep the spirit alive while staying truer to the Sea of Thieves tone.

At the end of the day, it's about capturing that balance of Halloween fun and adventure, and I appreciate your thoughts on making sure it feels right!
