    • Any type of gambling, means Rare would have to change their age rating, which they're not going to want to do.

    How do you prevent ship combat or TDMing casual players looking to join?

    Alternatively:

    Find Roblox games that emulates those minigames (yes I'm suggesting Roblox in 2025 they literally recreated Splatoon in there).

    SoT isn't Fortnite or desperately trying to be that, it doesn't need to do everything that pirates in fiction and non-fiction do. You logged in to sail, fight monsters, role play as a pirate, hoard treasure, fight other pirates, fish, and engage in lore content, don't really need anything else imo.

    If you want to chat with other people who play sot, just find discords or if you play on Xbox use the looking for a group feature.

    I agree. The social aspect is not what SoT is really about, you work with your crew on your boat and that's it.

    Having a "peaceful" island would cause too many issues, like people camping and waiting for you to leave etc.

    I think people are ignroing the 'dive to arrive' aspect. I assume this means the island will be contained like the Maiden Voyage island. I think its be cool if you could join randomers there, I don't think it would be that interesting in the long run though.
