We have all been trough this: playing for a couple of hours on your own, in the confort of the sloop and in a very calm session, taking things slow and confy, then suddenly you get disconnected or crash or your internet goes haywire. That session is over, you are never going back to it and that is frustrating because the player is not at fault.
This isn't much of a problem when playing with a crew, since you can reconnect through a friend, but I've been completely avoiding solo play for the past months due to how unreliable the experience is, I'm never confortable playing solo, I am more afraid of disconnecting than a 4 man galleon sneaking up on me.
For that I have suggested around five months ago that we get a feature that helps us reconnect back to recently lost sessions, like around 10 to 15 minutes of grace time so you can fix your internet, repair from the crash and go back into where you left. How would it work?

After a player disconnects, you ship won't scuttle, instead it will drop it's anchor, it will not be invulnerable, nor will it become invisible, it is still interactible.

During the 10 minute gracetime, matchmaking for that ship will be disabled, players can still invite and join through their friends.

The disconected player will find a new option on the main menu besides the ship selection to return to their previous session.

If the player doesn't select that option within 10 minutes, the ship will return to normal matchmaking if it is an open crew, or if it no longer has any players in the crew, it will scuttle and open the crew spot for a new crew to join the session.
I know I'm not alone in this sentiment of the need for this feature, but since we have spoken out the first time but nobody heard, I'll keep repeating myself until it is.
