Why not give us axe skins?
Yes, they would functionally be swords, but they would look like axes! More weapon skins, and they would add variety!

They could absolutely do this without needing to balance it as long as they make the axe work the same way as the sword. Alternatively they could add an axe as an actual type of weapon since axe's were as commonly used by pirates as swords, it could be balanced so it hits harder than a sword but can't block. Idk there are plenty of reasons to be against this idea as well

Axe skins for the sword, basically, since I could not think of a fair and balanced side-grade to make axes different in combat while still being equal.i believe its about time to bring more weapons in. I definitely disagree with making a axe a sword skin. i would like to see different actions and different attacks. I was extreme disappointed about the crossbow a few seasons back just being an actual eye of reach, i would of much preferred an actually crossbow. ill upvote this but only for the axe to be its own weapon, not a sword skin, i dont want another skin to add to a dusty collection
