Islands

  • Ok hear me out, what if they added something where you can have your own island, make your own house and upgrade. It would be like maiden voyage but you go through a portal to leave the island and go through one to go back.

  • I say it should be connected to guilds to make them at least a little more useful.

    • Sailing on Guild Ship
    • Purchase Guild Hideout Deed at Sovereigns
    • Purchase Guild Hideout Theme preset
    • Select 'Guild Hideout Voyage' on ship table
    • Vote to dive
    • Surface and arrive at Guild Hideout Island surrounded by fog
    • Customize and decorate hideout with purchased furniture and trinkets
    • All 24 members of the guild can hang out in this one instance that is separated from normal Sea of Thieves like it's a quest area
    • To leave, you can cancel the Guild Hideout Voyage or sail into the fog to end up at a random outpost back in the Sea of Thieves
  • @olde-grim-jack Oooh I actually kinda love this idea!

@TheRedHead5271 maybe this could satisfy some of our chill out spot with more people needs!

  • @bekkbloodaxe96 maybe maybe

  • I hate this.
It is a lot of work that would add nothing to the open world experience...

It's just the bog-standard millenial video game feature that every big studio add to their games, along survival mechanics.

I would be very surprised (and kinda sad) to see this coming to SoT in the future instead of what they are currently doing (refining core mechanics that everyone use, working on game stability, adding ways to move, fight, and gain gold in open world.)

  • It would be like maiden voyage but you go through a portal to leave the island and go through one to go back.

So a place like in the Sea of the damned, seeing you can't really own an island in SoT, as all islands already occupied.

  • @arias1101
    I completely agree.

  • Having some guild raid mechanic where you can attack other guild's lair and break their defenses would be so great tho.

Like everyone in the guild can spend money to add ressources, canons, ennemies, etc to their lair. And then, when feeling ready, defend against attacking guild, and vice versa.

It is a humongous amount of work to implement, but it would be worth a big season to improve the guild system
