upset no happy with this

It’s been well advertised that season 14 would be coming out on the 17th of October for at least a month now across all social media. Do you not follow them there?

Are you sure the 3 weeks were about the Season and not, for example, the time left for Leaderboards (as that would be now two weeks and a bit)

Edit: I am sure, that if it said "three weeks to next Season" before today, there would have been several posts here, on Reddit and on Twitter.

As said above, it's known for some tme the next Season starts the 17th (two days). If somewhere this information was not correct listed but said two weeks instead, I'm 99% sure people would have commented on it.

It would only matter for the renown (for which you still have almost two days, I would suggest doing a lot of easy deeds).

thedefender4311 is correct. In the Pirate Log Season progress, it had up until recently, said there were 3 weeks remaining to finish the Season Pass (in the top-right corner where it tells you the remaining time). This was clearly incorrect, as they'd already said the new Season was on the 17th.

I understand why some people would be unhappy with this (if they don't follow SoT on any social channels), however, there's probably not much you can do about it unfortunately.

Just another example of things not updating or aligning as they should within the Sea of Thieves :(

Pity they failed to update the same info within the game! XD

When I was checking how many levels I had to do last Monday (the 7th), it still said "3 weeks remaining" in the top-right corner. Since I already knew the new Season was the 17th, I could tell they'd messed that up. It has since changed for me and displays the correct remaining time.

This is indeed unfortunate, could have used a support ticket and/or post/tweet to inform people who were not yet level 100 renown.

If a support ticket was send, Rare could/should have informed people about it as well.

IMO people affected should put in a ticket, perhaps Rare could be lenient with rewarding people with rewards for levels they might have reached in the two weeks but are not able to do in the remaining two days. E.g. if people miss 20 levels, but get 20 levels in the first two weeks of S14, they get retroactively the levels and rewards of S13.

1 There have been countless videos and posts about it being a October 17th release

2 There have been in game pop-ups pointing towards an October 17th release

3 There was a renown extra xp weekend last week for people not at 100 yet.

Sorry but I don't have any sympathy to offer here.

Loss of trust seems imo a bit dramatic for a simple typo in only 1 single place in the game. Its not like they flat out lied, just that a single thing had an error, while everywhere else disagreed with the 1 error.

Maybe they should have stuck to the "3 weeks remaining" that showed up after all. All of S14 may have been ready by then! XD
