@l4chsfps I legitimately don’t know what’s wrong w/ the blunder bomb; why do you think it won’t work?
@trendyemperor83 Not sure how much I can sure due to insider NDA so I can't be too specific. Let's just say there are certain balancing issues that have been mentioned but RARE, as always, chose to ignore that.
I have a massive concern with the blunder bomb.. Anyone without an SSD is going to be extremely affected by this weapon, because getting back to your ship on an Xbox without one takes a while.
Can see this really becomming an issue seeing as the more updates we get the slower the load times become.
But I'm sure it's all been stress tested on the insiders and working perfectly 🤔Oh heck, the meta is going to be firing a bunch of blunderbombs onto the deck to take out the gunners and then go to town w/ the normal cannonballs on the lower decks of the enemy ship. The only real way I can see this being nerfed is to decrease the AoE or make them travel slower from cannons.
The way I imagine it in my head, boarding mechanics w/ the blunderbomb seem balanced theoretically. Obviously, the boarder(s) can easily remove anybody from the deck w/ just a few blunderbombs, but all the defenders need to do is use the exact same strategy, right?
@NeedSmokes If this feature ends up being unbalanced because of the inconsistent respawn times, I think that Rare would be backing themselves into a corner. They would have two choices: attempt to fix the problem of respawn loading times (which seems unfixable at this point due to the fact that the game is 2+ years old), or they would have to remove the blunderbomb entirely, and removing content is not a good look for developers.
But i dont have time 🤷♂️
Im still working on the new voyages i have done the first map like 50 times but never finished the voyages 🙆♂️
Oh well i like this first map..
The blunderbomb looks annoying but usefull at the same time it sure adds to the game.
The chainshot i fear to be a little OP and visually weird so i still dont like it this way..
I dont have time for tall tales and dont really understand them so until now i choose not to play it and focus on time limited voyages and commendations and save the tales for a rainy day 🤷♂️
Mostly from the monthly updates im only excited about what new voyages we get from duke and hope theres something fun like the first map of the current voyages.
I wish duke would sell the old voyages in the black market so i can just play voyages i really like.
