I wouldn't necessarily say "worst" since that is already taken by the ashen tomes stuff but yeah, pretty unimpressed with how the game has been handled the last few months.
@musicmee I'll be taking a dark or grey version of the 1 in the middle, and will be naming it after the cat, Dragon, from the film, The Secret of Nimh.

How? This is by far the best update so far in 2020, at least. A new faction, cats, more faction stuff, CATS, Arena Mode is actually looking interesting and I'm gonna play it finally, cats... Like really, how? The past few updates also been pretty good too.
I don't get it. Why is this update bad?

It's all down to personal choice of course.
But pets, they were novel and fun for about 10 hours..
After that, it never comes out again, for me as it's just an annoying thing that gets in the way and has zero purpose or use to gameplay.. Bit like emotes really.. Pointless. Kinda also the same as cosmetics as we 99% of the time only see our hands. So the emporium for me is of no use.. I see No point spending more money on a game for no reason.The revive option: I can only think that this was a requested feature from certain streamers, so they no longer get teleported back to their ship far away whilst they are off hiding, griefing, camping areas to annoy other players, in the name of content!
From reading various posts, both on here and fb, ( with ppl breaking nda's doing so) This feature was hated by so many on insiders but was introduced regardless.It's clearly more important to have 500 ppl watching someone else play a game than having 500 players playing a game to Rare. This has been noticeable in many of their choices over the past 12 months.
I can't help but feel they have been taking bad advice from the wrong people for a while now in regards to new content.The factions: Don't really know much of this yet. But i can already see how it will play out for those wishing to ally up to the Reapers Bones faction.. Attack and burn every ship in sight.. Not like much has changed there, but not everyone wants to fight non stop on this game. Some people enjoy the game minus the other player interaction at times. I will have to see how that evolves.
And The Arena: Well, it's not for me. The game has the worst combat issues of any game around.. This will hardly be new fun.
Nothing in this update says to me, come play me some more.

Cant agree more. Who'd have thought after the great first year the second would have been so bad :(I still remember that sinking feeling at the Arena announcement and knew the writing was on the wall.
The partner program was the final nail :(
