Just listen to the players and give better fov, doesn’t even have to be 120, the game needs anything 100+
Fov
The game is not made for higher FoVs.
'The players' don't know better than the people who made the game.
Suggestions are nice, but arguing that 'the players' know better would have ruined this game years ago.
Here's a short list of things 'the players' have asked for or demanded:- Dragons
- Airships
- Magic potions
- Gathering mechanics
- Crafting mechanics
- Hunger/Starvation mechanics
- 6+ man ships that would be unsinkable
- The ability to steal gold off of other players. Not treasure items, but already banked gold.
- The return of Crud Launching & Dolphin Diving
- The return of Quickswap
- Melee weapons that can put holes in ships
- The ability to jail opponents, thereby removing their ability to fight back or repair their own ship
- The ability to maroon crew members, thereby stranding them on an island with nothing to do
Claiming an idea should be implemented just because multiple people have asked for it is not a good idea. Multiple people can be wrong.
The devs have said the game looks worse at higher FoVs, because it was not made for higher FoVs.@xdragonman15558 you can get over 90 fov right now if you just go windowed mode and squish the window, it looks fine, in my opinion it looks better. Of course that's at the expense of screenspace and vertical fov. But if you have a widescreen monitor you just straight up have advantageous fov.

The devs have said the game looks worse at higher FoVs, because it was not made for higher FoVs.None of these massive game chanfinf festure requests have anything to do with the simple ability to slightly increase FOV to prevent motion sickness. Incredibly dishonest argument.
The ability to modify FoV beyond the in-game limits was never intentional and has been removed in order to restore the intended settings of Sea of Thieves.
The game is designed for 90 FoV Maximum, anything beyond that looks distorted and broken.
There are no intentions to change this in future.
