Inn-side Story So Far
We’ve been keeping very busy over the last month with Gamescom and launching two new video series! But whether you’re a new deckhand or an old mariner who’s been aboard our ship since we first announced Sea of Thieves, there’s a little something for anyone who’s keen to know more about the development of our game. Take, for instance, our Inn-side Story series in which two members of the crew chat about our plans and approach to development.
In our first episode, we thought it only fitting to start with the question "What is Sea of Thieves?" Though we’ve described the game as a shared world adventure game, Executive Producer Joe Neate and Design Director Gregg Mayles dive deeper and discuss the immersive play awaiting anyone seeking to take on the pirate life!
Our second instalment of the series shone a brighter spotlight on our plans to launch Sea of Thieves on Windows 10 for PC. As it’s our first voyage into making a PC game, we brought our PC Design Lead Ted Timmins to the tavern for a chat with Joe about our priorities and the importance of building a relationship with the PC community.
Yesterday, we released our third Inn-side Story video focusing on our #GreatWater! Andy Dennison (Software Director) and Mark Lucas (Senior Software Engineer) delve into engineering the effects, appearance and movement of our water. Prepare to be awash with awe whilst you watch!
Now that you’re all caught up with what we’ve been up to, you’re probably bursting with ideas, theories and questions! Feel free to jump into the water with the rest of our community and share your thoughts with us on Twitter, Facebook and our forums! And don’t forget to keep an eye on the horizon for more Inn-side Stories from our tavern.
