Partner or Variety Creator?
Both Programmes are designed to help give you the best experience when creating Sea of Thieves content, but which one suits you better?
Sea of Thieves Partner
Partners are our most dedicated content creators, with stricter entry requirements to this Programme balanced out by a number of exclusive benefits. These include access to feedback sessions on forthcoming updates, cosmetic prizes and frequent Twitch Drops to give away to your own communities, along with free Ancient Coins to spend in the Pirate Emporium, among other premium services.
Variety Creator
Our Variety Creators may play Sea of Thieves less regularly than our Partners, but still enjoy experiencing the game during major content releases or in-game events. The entry requirements are less strict, but benefits still include allocations of our premium currency Ancient Coins, and a set of Twitch Drops at the start of each new Season to enjoy with your communities.
How to Join
We’re currently using Lurkit as our main platform for discovering, onboarding and managing new Variety and Partnered creators. The three-step process to joining one of these Programmes is as follows:
Step 1: Apply Through Lurkit
Join or log in to your existing account on Lurkit and apply through our Creator Programme page. Please make sure you provide us with correct contact details and gamertag, so we can process your application faster.
Step 2: Keep An Eye On Your Email Inbox
We’ll review your application and let you know whether you’ve been successful on this occasion both via Lurkit and email.
Step 3: Join Our Creator Discord And Get Started!
If you are successful, we’ll assign you to a Programme and invite you to our exclusive Creator Discord, providing new and exciting benefits to share with your viewers.
Guidelines
Partner Programme
PARTNER PROGRAMME
Our Partner Programme has entry requirements that must be met and sustained in order to keep Partner status. Every applicant must be a member of the Creator Crew and abide by the Sea of Thieves Community Code of Conduct.
These are subject to change, but the minimum requirements for Partnership are currently as follows:
Streaming
For English-speaking creators:
- 15 hours of Sea of Thieves streamed per month.
- Sustain 10,000 hours viewed per month.
- A professional and interactive streamer.
For non-English-speaking creators:
- 15 hours of Sea of Thieves streamed per month.
- Sustain 5000 hours viewed per month.
- A professional and interactive streamer.
YouTube
For English-speaking creators:
- 20,000 subscribers.
- 3000 daily average views.
- Regular video uploads (judged on a case-by-case basis).
For non-English-speaking creators:
- 15,000 subscribers.
- 2000 daily average views.
- Regular video uploads (judged on a case-by-case basis).
TikTok
- 20k followers
- 15k+ average views/month
- Regular upload schedule (judged on a case-by-case basis)

Variety Creator Programme
The minimum requirements for the Variety Creator Programme are as follows:
Streaming
- 30,000 followers.
- No minimum play time or hours viewed.
YouTube
- 60,000 subscribers.
- Regular upload schedule
TikTok
- 50,000 followers.
- Regular upload schedule
All creators must abide by the Sea of Thieves Community Code of Conduct.
