Do i need Xbox Live Gold to play Sea of Thieves?

    do i need it? because i'm buying the new Xbox Series X and i don't know if i need to buy the xbox live gold online subscription to play online on Sea of Thieves on my Xbox Series X.

    Hello, Xbox Live is required to play any online multiplayer game. Xbox Live is a subscription meant to give access to specifically that so yes, you need
    Xbox Live in order to play.

    Not true...F2P games don't need a XBox Live Gold membership...

    @schwammlgott On Xbox for me personally I’ve never had any online game work without Xbox live.

    @illbushido305 since last year, I guess it was around E3, you don't need Gold anymore for F2P games...so it's pretty new
