How do i load a Checkpoint? - Shrouded Islands /

    Hello, everyone,

    I started Shrouded Islands yesterday. I only need the runes and the skull. Now to my problem; I quit the game yesterday and started it again this morning. My completed points are still showing (that's good...) and I'm now in chapter 3. However, this quest is now missing from my Missions Index and when I go back to Belle I don't have the option to continue there , where I left off. I only have (like at the beginning of the quest) the scroll with the text : go to Golden Sands and look for clues... etc.

    My question: How do I continue where I left off?! I also have to say that I didn't get the rune tablet when I fought the phantoms and defeated the boss. I really don't want to do it all over again.

    You should be able to talk to Belle and chose continue (I'm ready to investigate...)
    Should also have one that says complete adventure?

    You do have to fight them again to get the Runestone and Hex Skull. As you light the 8 memories, kill those phantoms for the runestone to drop. Boss should drop a map for the Hex Skull.

    How did you do it ?

    It must be possible to load the last progress of a quest. Why does everything at SoT always have to be so complicated and cumbersome?

    Does nobody really have an idea? I don't think I'm the first to interrupt the quest to continue later

    Such a text is not displayed to me with Belle.
    And I can no longer ignite the beacons because I have already done so (they have now disappeared). and I had also received the Map (lying on the floor). Then the chapter was over and I turned off the game.

    Sooooo sorry to hear you've had some issues restarting this quest...
    Have you made sure your maps/voyage table doesn't have a book down? This will sometimes get in the way of what menu options are available from Belle.

    the book is on the table and the quest is also active. I'm just stuck somewhere. How do I restart the quest? Is that possible?

    Guess you have to go by Golden Sands again then. I stopped during the boss fight and had the option to continue with Belle. After I completed it, Belle still had both the continue and complete options.

    so do i restart the quest by going back to golden sands and picking up the compass?

    @flyingacehole Cancel the book and speak to Belle again at Crescent... Do you then get the continue Adventure option?

    Cancel the adventure if it's active and talk to Larinna to start over.

    If you currently have the Adventure Book on your voyage table check and see if you have Belle's compass in your Quest inventory?

    okay it worked! I have to repeat chapter 2, but that's ok. I think my mistake was always addressing Larinna (I'm new to this game and the most logical thing for me is to pick up the quest right at the start point rather than having to sail 30 minutes halfway across the map to be able to continue. Assuming you survive it as a solo player). Thank you for your help! :-)

    Can you actually checkpoint it, though?

    It is my understanding there are none.

    That if you fight the boss on Shipwreck and then leave session, you will have to do all that over again, same as if you quit after handing in the relic.

    It was my understanding that it is not like the Tall Tales. There aren't any checkpoints like that.

    Am I mistaken?

    @personalc0ffee You can (re)start the next Chapter if you’ve already completed the one before it.

    If you’ve already completed Chapter 1 (speaking with Larinna/ going to Golden Sands) you can skip redoing it, and instead go straight to Belle on Crescent Isle/ Marauder’s Arch/ Devil’s Ridge (whichever is closest) to start Chapter 2 by selecting the [Continue Adventure] dialogue option. (If you don’t have this dialogue option, you probably have the adventure book on your captains table from speaking with Larinna, which will need to be vote-cancelled before Belle’s “continue…” dialogue shows)

    I figured that’s why they’re split into Chapters, so you can pick up and put down as you please?

    Me and my crew used this “trick” multiple times for Chapter 2 (across multiple sessions/ days) as we were 6 Soulflame Captain fights in at this point and still no sign of a Rune Tablet. We finally were blessed by RNG as got one, but it would’ve taken so much longer if we had to keep going to Golden Sands each time.

    I see, so rather then giving us a book with checkpoints, Belle keeps track.
