Sea of thieves becoming background application

Please Help,
I had a previous issue with Sea of thieves I was trying to solve which was that it wouldn't keep me logged in everytime I opened the game. So I was told to delete any 1717113201 tickets in the credential manager which I did. This ended up making the game crash just before the sign in. Now everytime I start it from steam, the game would become a background process after the splash screen and I have tried everything to fix it.
Please can someone help me because I have no idea what is happening or why.
