As a solo player, I am tired of being chain hunted by brigs. I can't outrun them, and can't outfight them. 1v3 is just not fair. Offering alliance only works if they feel some pity for you.
I also see that most players that complain about pvp only seem to complain about being hunted by bigger crews. So, why not make servers only populated with crews of the similar size. If there was a server option for solo players, most would mind their own business and if some decide to attack, then at least it is a fair fight (like it is in hourglass pvp)
This game is just annoying when it comes to unfair player interactions and that is one of the main reasons why it is bleeding players constantly.

It would also stop the possibility of friends joining a solo sloop (or duo brig &c).
You should be able to outrun them (by sailing against the wind with the sails towards the side). It used to be for a long time, you couldn't outrun brigs but they have adjusted the sailing speeds for some time now.
There are plenty of people who solo on a sloop will also be able to sink you and probably even quicker than a brig or galleon crew could.
1v3 is just not fair.
You chose Hard mode, what do you expect?

Its more annoying when another solo sloop decides to bother another solo sloop. Its not unfair, all crews and ships are Equal.
