Traps despawn time

    I don't know but the current despawn time for traps seem to be kinda small, from what I can tell it's around 10 mins on a ship.
    Has anyone else tried them yet?

    From rumors I've read, the times seem to vary from several minutes to over half an hour.

    @astralenigma I've had some despawn after seconds. Not sure it's intentional outside of once further traps are placed and there's a limit

    Haven't tried it just felt too small because that was the time for me to set it up explore the island I was in quickly and then reach the next island.
    When there's a commendation tied to have someone set off a trap rigged with a red flare on your ship it would seem it was designed to warn you when your ship got invaded while you were on the island.
    If I'm going to be using traps as a boarder alert system I'm going to need a lot more traps.
    But yeah trap despawn time seems inconsistent too.

    Placed a trap on my gally went over to my alliance sloop to help set off the trap and by the time I’d gotten back it was gone so it’s less than 10 mins
