Hi,
I'm getting the following message right after it says "Discovering Services" (Windows) :
"The Sea of Thieves Services are temporarily unavailable. Please try again. (Lavenderbeard)"
However, I did find out what the issue may be, according to the "beard error" thread, it says:
"Can be caused by Anti Virus/Firewall settings, but can also be caused by proxy servers and other network management manipulation / tools."
Another important thing to note is that I'm using the exact same setup as my girlfriend sitting in the same room with an exactly identical PC, in the same network and with the same anti-virus/firewall who is able to get in the game no problem at all.
I tried the following things I found amidst all those lavender beard oils on google:
- wsreset
- check for proxy or vpn settings (don't have any)
- store diagnostic tool
- made sure i did use the same account I use to log into windows, xbox insider and store
- adding an exception to my firewall (kaspersky)
- pause kaspersky
- reinstalling the game
- windows network reset
- installing windows updates
- restarting my pc after every attempt
- removed a program called "voicemeeter" (after reading a similar post on this topic)
- updated graphic drivers
Even now after the stress testing weekend is over I am still getting lavenderbeard instead of the expected kiwibeard error.
If anyone could think of another solution i could try or software that could potentially interfere with the game please let me know.
I really hope to get this issue sorted out, at least until the release. :(
