So random question, such as old pirate legend cosmetics have been brought back from previous seasons and how a man o war burning blade was added with a series of new cosmetics for the skelly curse... Will there be a return of the Golden Legendary Set for those players who never got to play in year one and the way you'll earn them will be revolved around the guardians of fortune progress or just Athena's fortune commendations? Or will there be a new variant of the legendary set similar to the mysterious stranger set or the magpies glory set? I speak not only for myself in this but other's as well when I say that those of us who truly devote our selves to this game, who truly deserve the title of "Pirate Legends" deserve a second chance at having this truly phenomenal set that some of us missed at a time when we either never knew this game existed or or just never got to buy at the time. Please RARE if you can please give us another chance to earn it again...
Golden Legendary Set
@capta1n0nyx very unlikely since it was celebrating those pirates who got to PL before year one. If suddenly everyone else got them then it would take away from the feat for everyone else who got it back then. I’m not one of those people btw but I support the idea of time limited exclusives.
MAYBE if they did it like they did with the PL curse and tie it into hourglass.
It needs to be harder to get to it doesn’t damage the feeling of accomplishment from those who already have it.
At the time of the release of the game, I was only like 6 or 7, and I didn’t know about the game. If I did, I guarantee my parents still wouldn’t have let me get it.

A set that is similar to the Golden Legend already exists. The standard and the reskin of the Legendary Sea Dog weapons. But more to the point, the reason why they are exclusive is simply that the experience of the game from then to today with regards to earning PL was vastly different. You can bleed purple and gold all day long, but you still won't know the struggle that was leveling up the factions unless you were there. So to say you should deserve a chance at something you were and are not qualified to have is simply greed and/or entitlement.
That said, a reskin is a fine alternative. Maybe an inverse to the Golden Legendary set where it's more purple than gold or something of that nature. Then you could lock that behind, say, Distinction 5 of Athena's Fortune reputation or something of that nature. That would be a much more acceptable compromise in this matter/situation.

And it would be just as unfair to start handing out something that was made specially for those that showed the dedication to the game in a time when it was much less popular that it is now as well as the leveling progression that was there and the very limited number of world events and such. I'm not saying that you wouldn't have been one of the people there if you could have been, but this is simply life. You can't have everything. Just as I can't have some Twitch Drops for another game simply because I missed out on the promotional window. Am I sad I didn't catch the promotion/Drops in time? Absolutely. Will I lament that I didn't and demand that the devs relaunch them for my own failure to get them while they were active? Absolutely not. Again, that's just life. The best thing to do is to look forward to something new instead of envying those that got something you didn't and trying to find ways to make people give you those things they earned fairly.

So you've came to a conclusion, or you're at least implying, that other people aren't "truly devoted", and that you "truly deserve" a second chance of something you weren't part of? Or am I missing something?
By all means, provide a logical reasoning behind this. Because anything other than that, is just pure entitlement and greed.
And I'll mirror what Tesiccl said - I ain't one of those people from year 1, and time limited exclusives should stay exactly that. I really don't care about reskins though.
