After placing raw food on pan to cook. Raw food should be automaticly seleted. Preferably the same type current placed.
A check could even be made to see if any empty pans are available. If not, then hold standard food.
Quality of Life: Cooking Inventory Management
Kinda my point. If you need to be cooking meat in a time constrained situation. You shouldn't need to go into your inventory and re-select raw food to cook. If a detection for an available pan was included. You would only ever be obligating yourself to placing 2 pieces of food before an edible was placed in your hand.
You... CAN bind a keyboard/controller button that's dedicated to pulling out food, can't you? It's a much faster way than asking the multiplayer game with strained server performance to contextually pull out what food is in your inventory for you, surely.
Also it's not a wise choice to cook food during an intense battle, like at all, it's crazy to infer this as a reason to push this idea forward.
I was just thinking of this today! When you have uncooked meat in your inventory and place 1 on the stove, it’s like your food inventory cycles to the fruit instead of the OTHER piece of raw meat you have on you.
I would love to be able to craft new food by combining foods. Like “Mystery Meat Soup”, “Fruit Salad”, “MeatLoaf”, “Casserole”, etc.
Imagine engaged in a 1v1, you think you got the upperhand until dude pulls out a meatloaf, sounds legit. Could tune down fruit health regen to account for newer better foods.
@nex-stargaze controller already has limited button option. I have Mega Phone Keyed to my only free button, the up arrow. Be cause Microphones save lives
@nex-stargaze I'm tired of having a stack of over 20 Megladon meat and have to go I to my Inventory to select each one individually to cook it. Or I have to remove all Food from my inventory to cook.
