New Features
Season 13 brings sweeping changes across sea and land as Flameheart’s influence spreads far and wide. Crews will clash for control of the barbaric Burning Blade warship and see familiar islands evolve with the arrival of Skeleton Camps!
Set Lesser Ships Ablaze
The Ashen Roar is a fierce front-facing fireball launcher built into the Burning Blade. When the Roar is fully recharged, the pull of a lever next to the wheel unleashes its fury. This unique weapon has unlimited uses – and as the Burning Blade itself is resistant to fire, there’s no danger of unintended consequences!
Skeleton Camps
Flameheart’s fleshless forces have been busy since his return from the Sea of the Damned, fortifying Skeleton Camps on islands across the Sea of Thieves. Rising smoke indicates an active camp where devout Obsidian Skeletons guard what lies beneath: secrets crucial to their King’s terrible plans for conquest…
Ancient Temples
These long-lost locations are the real reason for the Skeleton Camps. Inside, constellation puzzles bar the way to the crypts of Ancient priests. By solving these puzzles and completing Rituals to release priceless memories, crews pledged to the Burning Blade can raise the ship’s value before returning it to Flameheart!
Defiance of
The Flame
When the Burning Blade is defeated and awaiting its new crew, pirates who oppose Flameheart can choose not to make the pledge, and instead keep firing at the flagship until it sinks and its spoils rise to the surface. This puts the Burning Blade out of action, but the Blade of Souls now comes into play…
The Ancient Temples beneath Skeleton Camps are also viable targets for these rebellious crews. While the Obsidian Skeletons will put up a fight, it’s possible to sabotage Rituals and keep Ancient secrets from Flameheart’s grasp by extracting the valuable Orb of Secrets from a Temple and spiriting it away!
Blade of Souls
Turn Flameheart’s own power against him! Obtained by vanquishing the Burning Blade, the Blade of Souls is both a valuable treasure item and a weapon capable of setting fire to your foes. Wield it freely before making a lucrative deal with a Trading Company contact to take it off your hands…
New Commendations
A new Season brings not only different cosmetics to be claimed by pirates pledged to the Burning Blade and those who seek to destroy it, but a wealth of new Commendations and Milestones for both sides – unlocked through constellation puzzles, Ritual roles and Burning Blade battles!
