My friend and I were playing last night and both realized we haven't seen the kraken in literally over a year. I know it can't spawn when a world event is going on, but I'd like the kraken to be part of the game again. Maybe spread the world events out more, one every 20-30 minutes, and increase how often the kraken appears. Megs never show up much either these days.
Not Enough Kraken
We've discussed this before, it feels like the burning blade being a world event that is designed to run for long periods potentially has had a knock on effect on kraken. I still see them from time to time, probably twice in last month. And megs I still see all the time, might be your playstyle? Are you mostly reliant on dive to voyages?
@hiradc So when the Burning Blade is on the map other world events can't spawn? That feels like such a missed opportunity. It would be so awesome to get to go do a ship battle world event in the Burning Blade. I wish they could fix this. But yeah I never see the kraken, or even megs, at all anymore. The Burning Blade is on the map every single time I spawn in. Maybe tone it down if it's not going to co-exist with other events. If no on engages it in like 20 minutes, have it go back under.

at any case, Kraken should spawn ANY time. Not other WE.
Kraken shouldnt even count as a WE, it should be like a skeleton ship that randomly spawns.@tedakin the burning blade is a world event, so its in the same pool, if it doesn’t get taken over by players and isnt interacted with it already despawns in about an hour (same with any other world event)
However with it roaming chances are big players sail within its activation range having a knockdown effect on the despawn timer.
When players take control of the BB it is still a world event, the players become the world event.
It is by design that no other world event spawns during this time, in hopes of pushing players to take down the player controlled blade, if this was a good choice… lets just say that is up for debate
@tedakin i said the same thing two weeks ago, then got 3 kraken in a couple hours. The loot from them suck too. They need a loot buff as it's annoying and not worth fighting.
They really do need a Buff. Killing the Kraken should be more loot than a meg or Skelly ship but it is not. It's also spread out and a bit frustrating to look for. When I was new it was really fun to see them and as annoying as they can be it still could use a higher spawn rate. Just make it worth it to see one.
On a side note, it would be cool if they added a Shrouded Kraken as rare as the Meg.
