I was nudged by a friend to submit an application, so why not.

I've been a Sea of Thieves streamer and player since the game launch. Sea of Thieves has been my main game streamed for those years, I've been known in the community for a long time and like to think I'm well regarded. I'm a PvP player and a background in competitive games. I've been involved in numerous events over the years Cracked Creator, League of Thieves, Cutlass Crusades. I've also taken part in SoT shot and achieved Visionary rather quickly. I collaborate regularly with other streamers big and small and good relations with them.

My stream is very chill focused, allowing people to vibe and have a good time, I steer clear of any drama around the community. I encourage people to treat others fairly and with respect, focusing on just having a good time.

My views and feedback on the game are honest, I will give my opinions both good and bad but I still love the game enough to remain engaged at some capacity, I've always had a passion for the game. So I would be happy to represent the game should you choose.

I’m not a great streamer. Not a terribly great pirate either. Yet here I am. I started streaming for two reasons: to be more involved in the Sea of Thieves community and to show that its possible to have success in this game as a solo even if you aren’t the best. Joining the Stream Team will help me to better achieve both of those goals and in return I will utilize the platform to show that you can win (and lose) with grace, that there is room within the Sea for both the PVP and PVE community, and most importantly that a mid tier console gamer can find their stride and enjoy everything that Sea of Thieves has to offer if they bring the right attitude and effort.

I'm Janboiplays, or Jan for short. I'm a dedicated Sea of Thieves streamer who has been playing since 4 years. I am a goofball who enjoys sharing my passion and love for the game. My content specializes in PvP content, engaging with a variety of pirates and fostering a dynamic community. I do this by hosting many community events such as a variety of mini games using SOT mechanics like capture the flag. I also have hosted a brig only PvP bracket event bringing the brig community together for come fun competitive event. I am also a Tides of Triumph captain for Cutlass Crusades, this is a sloop event that uses dice rolls to set weapon loadouts in calm water causing a different PvP game play that you don't usually see in normal SOT game play. My stream content and being apart of different SOT events bring all types of players both new and experienced, I have found that it creates many friendships among everyone and creates a closeness between everyone since everyone gets time to meet and get to know each other. When I am not hosting SOT events, I have a blast streaming with my friends you can find us relaxing and having fun. We will occasionally do streamloots while hourglassing always finding different ways to add more challenges in matches. We will run into newer pirates on the seas and take the time to explain or teach them the ways of the game to help spread the knowledge and better other pirates. Hey hey hey! I have been sailing the seas off and on for over 3 years, but have been streaming it full time now and have been enjoying it so much. The SoT community has been so welcoming with open arms. I love streaming with themed days where we do certain things like Tall Tales on certain days, grinding for emissaries one day and even throw in some cosplay streams with my own character that I made up aka Lyra Asrai. I have been a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean growing up and seeing the add on of Jack and the crew was what brought me into this and has had my attention and heart with all that this game offers. I want to be part of the Sea of Thieves Stream Team because I’ve been playing since shortly after launch, and the game has become a core part of my life. I offer both relaxing and competitive streams, diving into PvE and PvP content with the mindset of a completionist—I’m always striving to experience and achieve everything the game has to offer. Sea of Thieves isn’t just about gameplay for me; it’s about community. Many of my closest friends, who also stream, I met through this world, and that connection is one of the biggest reasons I love it so much. Over the seven years of playing Sea of Thieves I have seen it all and done it all, but what keeps me playing is the variety of the gameplay and the unpredictability of the community! There are so many adventures out there, you don’t know what you’ll get into! Then add all the other pirates you encounter, you just don’t know which ones are good crewmates and which ones are out to steal all of the gold. I’ve made some very close friends and some very cherished memories through this game.

My streams lately have been helping newer pirates in open crew, helping friends with hour glass, and working on commendations. So the vibes in my stream are super chill and lots of laughs. I have been more involved in the Sea of Thieves community, both in and out of the game. I have participated in many events, such as Race of Legends, helped raise money for worthy causes through Sea of Thieves Charity sails, and was even a guest speaker on a panel at Fest of Legends in 2024.

As a Turkish player, I observe that the lack of sufficient partners in our community causes other Turkish players to lack understanding and practical development of the game.

I believe that creating a safe space for people from all walks of life to spread love and positivity truly embodies what it means to be part of the Sea of Thieves community. When I began streaming in June of 2024, encouraged by my good friend InsideAgain and her community, I had no idea what was in store for me — but I knew it would be beautiful.

Sea of Thieves had my heart before I had even played a video game. I eventually took the leap and bought a PC to see what it was all about. Being part of the SoT community has changed my life in so many ways, and I couldn’t be more grateful to belong to something bigger than myself.

I’ve had the chance to participate in many charity events, including (but not limited to) Cutlass Crusades, the Regina Royale, Wizzdome, and even my own charity stream for Gamers Outreach. Becoming part of the Bilge Rats Crew would be an incredible opportunity—not just for me, but for my community as well.
