HELP! Cannot let go of helm/sails/bucket

My buddy has an issue where he cannot let go of the helm, or sails if he interacts with them, or if he pulls out his bucket, he cannot put it away. Restarting the game does not fix, reinstalling has not fixed. Dying in game has not fixed. He has tried many times over the last several weeks. He has put multiple requests into Rare support for assistance but no resolution. He was told by Rare support that the update today (Haunted Shores) should have fixed it, but it did not. Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas? Or is anyone else Having this issue? He hasn’t been able to play the game in over a month and is missing out on challenges/limited time rewards. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
