I found this uncharted island...

    I've looked around the forums, and I'm not the first to be sharing this; though, I thought I would give my input. I found this uncharted island right in the middle of the map. There are shipwrecks and a giant (kraken?) skeleton, as well as some "man-made" structures. I put my screenshots all in this imgur...check it out:

    I'm thinking there will have to be some significance in the full release.

    EDIT: 3/2/2018 - I can confirm more of these islands exist in between the biomes. They seem to all have some reef structure littered with shipwrecks. In addition, they all have these man made structures. It seems only the central one has a kraken skeleton. Well, I found one and swam around.

    So all together, I found 3 thus far. N10, L15, and S16. In the middle of this map is some very large rock structure pictured in the first imgur album.

    @campiclatch Dude! That is really interesting. I'm going to go check that out. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Legendary Pirate Tavern.

    Yea that is what I was thinking. It would make sense considering it is right in the middle of the map, and there is something special about it for sure.

    My theory is that there are these coral reefs placed between each biome of the sea (although not confirmed). It is interesting, however, to see that the area is fully fleshed out and even has an island!

    I was there with my crew a few hours ago. If you sail to S15/16 (if I remember right) you will encounter another uncharted island with an arch underwater. The arch leads to an underwater cavern/temple which is really neat.

    Isn't there 3 of these discovered so far?

    I wonder if this is a Bermuda triangle sort of thing.

    There is one at N10.
    It has a teleporter that pops you back to your ship via white screen.
    There is a deep hole in the centre of the isle, with coral and wrecks.
    This leads to a cave system that has a couple of accessible chambers out of the water.
    I found trinkets and books, and a couple of barrels of bananas.
    The teleporter cave zapped my crewmate back onto the ship, and then me too when I went in after him.

    So, I went and checked this out for myself and got freaked out. I have a small phobia for deep water but I really wanted to see it. I managed to find the ruins but not the Kraken skull. Still really cool area.
