The problem I think lies in its un-shinieness and it would probably look better without the wood and rope on top, just the harpoon bit - the wood at the base also should probably be purple
My buddy who got legendary kraken hunter on day 2 got it and isn't impressed with the capstan either. The spear doesn't make sense. I think the wheel looks great and the cannons are nice but overall it doesn't much feel....krakeny? sure krakeny i'll call it.
Anywho, you should try and draw up a replacement. Maybe who knows they'll take it into consideration and use your drawing. (if it's a simple rework)
