This has absolutely screwed me many times trying to fight krakens. Is this a bug or are they seriously able to do that. Regardless it needs to be fixed. I should not be able to be pulled from the safety of my ship especially 2 decks down.
Why is the kraken able to pull me out of the bottom of a ship?
@mighty-jerkules The workaround is a timing issue. If you get below immediately after hearing the noise and/or seeing the sucking wind animation, you will not get sucked through the boat. Wait too long and it will get you no matter where you are because it has locked on to you. Yes, would be great for them to fix this bug, but it is easily avoidable if you're paying close attention.
@mighty-jerkules yep, it's a bug. Another poster said that instead of running below deck, you can try to shoot the tentacle attempting to pull you. Couple hits and it stops. That's all you can do for now, but also go ahead and submit a bug report!
@mighty-jerkules Yeah, I don't even run out down anymore, I just stay up deck and avoid the dust cloud, usually works for me.
@bran-the-ent That's it precisely. If you are out too long when it starts and you're 'chosen' it doesn't matter where you run then; you're going up. Best advice is to get below as soon as possible, let others know to do the same, top off supplies and ammo, maybe take a pause, if it's still going, and then get back on deck.
Because krakens are magical... This does have to be fixed though, this has been happening for a loooooooooong time now.
